Compensable Injuries
We provide Exercise Therapy services for all Compensable injuries whether they be private or work related.
Accredited Exercise physiologists provide functional exercise for the purposes of returning an injured client where possible to pre-injury status. This includes specific exercise therapy related to the client's lifestyle demands, as exercise.
Fitness Testing (VO2 Test & Power Testing)
OXYGEN UPTAKE TESTING (VO2 Max or Submax) - When it comes to measuring your heart lung (cardio) fitness, Professional and Olympic athletes and their Coaches/Trainers have known for years the Gold standard is Gas exchange analysis which tells us how much oxygen your body is using. This information previously only available in Hospitals, Universities and Elite training facilities is now available at STEP BITE STEP. It is one of the most accurate tests available for giving individuals the best advice of what their training heart rate zones should be for weight management or for their competetive sport.
POWER TESTING - with the use of our Computrainer we offer MAP or FTP tests. These tests will help cyclists assess power output to evaluate the impact of your training programs, or to assist in the development of them.
General Dietary Advice
If you have a general idea of the foods you should be eating but still struggle with health concerns or goals related to your eating patterns the issue may not entirely be what you are eating, but why you choose to eat what you do and the amount. Until this is dealt with you may find it difficult to make long-term dietary changes. It is also for this reason that diets don’t work, diets only deal with what you are eating rather than the reasons why.

We can help you with general exercise guidelines, but with the expertise to personalize it for you so you can regain or improve some of that lost function and fitness regardless of current age and in a way that suits your lifestyle.
Injury Rehabilitation
If you suffer from ongoing pain or dysfunction as a result of either acute (single event causes injury) or chronic (occurs over a long period of time) injury, exercise therapy directed by an Exercise Physiologist is for you.

Dietitians sometimes use meal replacements for valid reasons such as weight management, but their success is more likely when there’s close supervision and effective behavioural counselling on long-term diet, lifestyle, and food attitude issues. Personal Exercise Programs
If you need an exercise program you can do anywhere, anytime, without having to commit to seeing a personal trainer all the time our personalised exercise programming might be for you. Our Exercise Physiologist can design a home program using no equipment through to programs completed at a fully equipped local fitness centre or any setting in between.
